The Camcorder (short film)

I was pretty excited to see that the short film I scored, The Camcorder, was accepted into FilmQuest. I had been wanting to get into this festival years, and it finally happened. I went with Mark Visser, the director, and we had a cthonic time meeting other weirdos and watching even weirder films (2 of which went on to the Oscars). I felt cool enough to wear my prized LOTR shirt.

Furthermore, I was able to give a nice little talk about the music at the Inspired Minds meetup last Fall in Golden, CO. It was fun to answer some questions about the music.

Further furthermore, I released the soundtrack (original score) to The Camcorder on all major streaming platforms, and you can check it out on this site under Music.

Stay tuned for more exciting news on The Camcorder. It's gotten some attention......

New Low Midnight Soundtrack Releases

I released the single Skinwalker, a collaboration between me and Sage Bond, on all major streaming platforms. It's a supplemental track for the film soundtrack Low Midnight, which features an instrumental version of the track in the soundtrack.

And on that note, the full Original Score album for Low Midnight is also out on all major streaming platforms. The western film has a special screening Sept 21 in Sacramento, CA. Hope to see you there!

New short film soundtrack album for the short film Eternal Elegy in Velvet released on all major streaming platforms. Shot on 16mm film, the short is a beautiful and personal portrait of grief, loss, and friendship. Directed by Michelle Martinez.

For the soundtrack, I wanted to record all live players in order to match the film's beautiful and organic analog film aesthetic. Computer samples in soundtrack music dates itself (in an unpleasing way) after a few years, but live recordings retain life forever.

The short film Opulent Round Edible Object won a Vimeo Staff Pick. Scored by yours truly. Directed by Evan Mann.
